When I changed my eating to a Pro-Metabolic approach, this was my biggest challenge. But once I added natural sugar back to my diet and eliminated PUFAs at the same time, my metabolism soared.
After working with hundreds of clients over the years it is evident time and time again that whenever sugar stores are low, we will crave sugar. Cravings will disappear as soon as your body is fed and sugar stores replenished. Avoiding sugar will make cravings stronger.

- INCREASE METABOLISM.
The right kinds of sugar are amazingly nourishing to the metabolism. If your liver does not have a constant supply of glycogen that comes from sugar, it will not convert thyroid hormone T4 to T3. It is the T3 that fuels your metabolism. Sugar is essential for thyroid production – faster metabolism, faster and easier fat loss.
Sugar is the preferred energy source for our body and is essential to increase metabolism. Sugar plays a vital role in thyroid hormone conversion.
Fat loss favours a fast metabolism. Simple. Natural sugar

Insulin is not released for fructose to be utilized by cells. It is in the presence of insulin that fat storage occurs.

The day that I concluded that sugar favoured fat burning over fat storing would have had to be one of the best days of my life!!!!
3. MORE ENERGY.
A high carbohydrate diet is a high-energy diet. It provides more energy, more productivity and more focus. Cutting carbs can be exhausting and depleting. Fructose increases energy without increasing body fat.
4. NO SUGAR CRAVINGS OR BINGEING.
When the body is feed what it needs it doesn’t crave it. Our Pro-Metabolic nutrition meal plans are enjoyable and do not result in feeling deprived.
5. NO REBOUND WEIGHT GAIN.
It is the low carb, high cardio diet that depletes cells and causes metabolic damage that so often results in rebound weight gain.

When the body is deprived of the very fuel that it needs in sugars, stress hormones are triggered and cortisol and adrenaline are released. High cortisol results in the unfavorable hormonal balance of low progesterone and high estrogen and can result in many adrenal issues.
Sugar has amazing anti-stress properties and plays a significant role in lowering adrenalin and suppressing cortisol. Cortisol results in fat storage.

8. HEALTHIER THAN EVER.
All our meal plans includes fruit, juice, honey, milk, eggs, seafood and gelatin. Most fruits, fruit juices and milk also contain higher levels of vitamins and mineral than starchy grains.
Fruits and fruit juices are high in salicylates and are powerful anti-inflammatories. Grape fruit and apples are the exceptions. Note that apple juice can contain pectin that can feed bacteria and grapefruit juice can be estrogenic.
Fruits are also void of the anti-nutrients found in grains and seeds such as phytates and trypsin inhibitors.
Fruits are low in PUFAs and they are far easier to digest than cellulose rich vegetables, producing less bacterial overgrowth and endotoxins. The more complex the carb, the more digestive strength is required to break it down and metabolise it. When fruit is fully ripe, the nutrients are at their peak and the sugars are easily broken down
9. FEEL FANTASTIC.
Yes…carbs are directly linked to elevating mood. Happy days!!!!!! Eat sugar and feel great.
10. NO BLOATING.
Fruits are single sugar molecules so do not require the digestive strength or enzymes that complex carbs require. They are easy and quick to digest and are in and out without sitting. They also do not ferment in the intestine preventing bloating, gas or digestive issues.
Remember, I am not talking about high fructose corn syrup such as HFCS or sugar substitutes like stevia, agave or altered fake sugars. Only real natural sugar as nature intended it to be.
