HOW I PREVENT SUGAR CRAVINGS

I USED TO THINK THAT I HAD TO RESTRICT CARBOHYDRATES AND SUGARS.
I used to think that to get lean I had to restrict carbohydrates, natural sugars, fruit, dairy and orange juice. I considered breads and quality chocolate a no-no that would likely ruin my results.

AND I WOULD END UP CRAVING……BIG TIME
I would start to crave not long into the diet. I craved sweet food…. crunchy food…. hot fried food…. warm breads…. muffins…. pizza…. carbs…carbs…. carbs.

NO MORE CRAVINGS….🙂
So….I no longer experience cravings. Happy days. Cravings had become such a huge part of my life. I simply accepted that I had to suck it up and dig deeper to find more willpower. As it turns out it wasn’t about willpower, it was about supplying my body with energy.

MY BODY NEEDS SUGARS FOR ENERGY.
Through learning and my own personal research, I now understand biochemistry, physiology and nutrition. I understand that my body runs best on glucose (sugar/carbs) and that it’s my body’s preferred energy source. When cravings would start, it would most likely mean my body needed energy. So it would crave the very food that would supply me with energy.

So…. whenever I cut or restricted sugars and carbohydrates, I would crave them. I have learned to listen to my body. My body wants optimal fuel and craves what it needs. I enjoy a balanced diet of natural sugars from fruit, juices, cheese, honey and dairy.

AND …. FAT BURNING!
Sugars drive metabolism. Heat, ATP and CO2 is produced when sugars (quality natural sugars of course) are used as energy.

I help my body support fat loss by increasing metabolism and using energy efficiently, and no longer try to force fat loss by stressing my body and not providing it with fuel.
